Want to dine like a celebrity? Want to fondly gaze at your idol while having Saturday night dinner with your pals? Or thinking it's time to add to your collection of autographs and celeb photos?
These are the pubs and restaurants where reservations are recommended.
The Odeon
All famous people who have visited Tribeca, pay attention: you must eat at the Odeon if you're nearby. Similar to Balthazar, almost every American celebrity has eaten at the Odeon at some time, including Ben Affleck, Naomi Watts, Katie Holmes, Bobby Cannavale, Rose Byrne, Margaret Qualley, and Jack Antonoff. This suggests that the restaurant is emitting a celebrity-only Bat Signal. Even I like the downtown celebrity magnet, so there. Don't pass up the loaded country frisee salad, which is like a deconstructed BLT, or the salmon tartare with soy vinaigrette.
Locanda Verde
Celebrities frequent Locanda Verde, but is it for the lamb meatball sliders or are they there to support restaurant co-owner and Hollywood icon Bobby De Niro? We may never know, but if Locanda Verde is satisfactory to Harry Styles, it must be satisfactory to me as well. Together with Harry, Drew Barrymore and her friend Savannah Guthrie have also been seen here. If you visit, be sure to get some of their renowned sheep's milk ricotta. I need to know if Harry attempted that.
Balthazar
Are you even a celebrity if you don't eat at Balthazar? I believe that almost every famous person who visits New York City has dined at Balthazar, including Tom Hiddleston, Meryl Streep, Awkwafina, Mary Kate Olsen, Jared Leto, and Zoe Deutch. Anna Wintour, editor-in-chief of Vogue, is a fan of Balthazar and often seen here having business talks over a lone cup of coffee.
Lure Fishbar
I'm starting to believe that the actors in the Gossip Girl revival are more like the roles they portray than actual Gossip Girl. When you see Evan Mock and Eli Brown eating at Lure Fishbar, you know you can add it to your list of cool-kid NYC eateries since the actors are trendsetters in their own way. The seafood restaurant, which is a favorite of Hailey Bieber and Saweetie, offers a wide selection of raw fish options, a sushi menu, as well as lobster rolls, clam chowder, and salmon with miso glaze.
Buvette
While it's all so cliche, sensitive French hunk Timothée Chalamet has been seen eating al fresco at this West Village establishment. Solo. in the midst of a book. Readers of Deuxmoi may now be heard swooning. Blake Lively, the original Gossip Girl, has also resided at Buvette, which offers breakfast, lunch, and supper every day. Yet, in the humble opinion of this New Yorker, their brunch buffet, which has buttery croque madames and monsieurs and a variety of flaky French pastries, is the reason they are so well-known.
