106-Year-Old Woman’s Secret
A 106-year-old woman from Pennsylvania has been drinking a beer every day since her youth. Now, she said that it's the secret to life longevity. To thank the woman for her interesting lifestyle and the viral nature of her words, one beer company sent a special delivery her way. Margaret Dilullo didn’t expect to get a present. Yet, she doesn’t even remember the last time she didn’t gulp a Yuengling lager. Daily, she’s consuming one and only brand of beer. "I'm telling you, from the time I started to drink it, I have never drank anybody else's," Dilullo said, adding that her favorite part of the drink is a "slight bitter taste." Other cans simply don't match up! "I can't believe they're still in business!” she claimed. Yuengling didn't ignore their oldest fan ever. To give her credit, the brewery sent a whopping truck full of beer her way!
"It was wonderful. I didn't expect to see that big truck pull up in front of my daughter's house," said Dilullo. "It was a wonderful surprise. I think it'll be the biggest surprise of my life. It was my day. I can't believe that I could have anything to surpass it. It was wonderful." Yuengling took a few snaps with the fan, then posted them to the official Twitter page and garnered a ton of reactions.
Well, She Drinks Beer Every Day!
Debbie Yuengling, one of the four sixth-generation family members involved at Yuengling, stated that she and her team love to surprise their fans. As for Dilullo, they hoped she’ll have enough beer till the end of her life. If needed, the company will send more. "We wanted to make it special for her,” Yuengling said. “We wanted to make sure she had at least one more beer than every year she's been alive. So what we did was we had a truck show up in her driveway with all her family and neighbors." Dilullo, on the other hand, doesn’t plan to stop drinking Yuengling any time soon. Moreover, she loved the beer-themed event!
"As long as I live, I don't see anything that's going to top it," she said. "I felt so important. Who wouldn't be important if they got a Yuengling a day? ... I don't think anybody will have a better time than I have." The lucky fan shared some beer with her family, friends, and neighbors. When asked about the secret to her long life, Dilullo didn’t hold back. "First of all, I thank God," she said. "He sees to it that I'm still here. And after that, the folks at Yuengling see to it that the beer is here." As long as she’s alive, Dilullo wants to drink a beer a day.
"As long as I can, I will," she stated with confidence. "I think we have enough Yuengling to last the rest of my life."
