Once again, the Girl Scouts have started selling cookies. And, now, there are more ways than ever to pick up a box - or a dozen! The organization has brought back their online Cookie Finder, which lets shoppers enter their zip code and buy cookies online, directly from troops in their area. Meanwhile, the Girl Scouts have also teamed up with DoorDash to offer cookie delivery in participating markets across the country.
"Through this collaboration [with the Girl Scouts], we aim to provide access and opportunity for Girl Scouts, while providing their neighborhoods with safe, efficient, and enjoyable ways to support their local troops," said Shanna Prevé, vice president of strategic partnerships and business development at DoorDash, in a recent statement.
These are not the only changes, however. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the organization plans to scale back the amount of in-person sales booths for the foreseeable future.
"In 2021, Girl Scouts engineered new ways to be successful in their cookie businesses and still used their cookie funds to power awesome experiences like camp, troop activities, and service projects in their communities," Girl Scouts of America CEO Judith Batty explained. "We're inspired by the resilience and ingenuity of our girls and can't wait to bring this renewed girl-led innovation into the 2022 Girl Scout Cookie Program."

Wondering what cookies you can expect this year? Well, all the fan favorites will return: Caramel deLites/Samoas, Do-si-dos/Peanut Butter Sandwiches, Thin Mints, and Peanut Butter Patties/Tagalongs. They will be joined by classics like Lemonades, the naturally gluten-free Toffee-tastics, S'mores, and the recent hit Toast-Yay!, a French toast flavored cookie introduced last year. But, most exciting of all, a new Girl Scout cookie will debut this year: Adventurefuls.
According to the Girl Scouts website, Adventurefuls are "an indulgent brownie-inspired cookie with caramel-flavored crème and a hint of sea salt. Adventurefuls take cookie lovers on a delicious taste adventure just like Girl Scouts go on their own amazing adventures all year long."
This year, Girl Scout cookie season will run until April. However, local programs may vary, so check the official website. There, you can also find the Cookie Finder and links to DoorDash for ordering.
