Looking for some good in the world? Well, a restaurant did something incredible for a blind singer - they wrote her an edible birthday message in Braille! Laughing through tears, her companion documented it on her official TikTok page.
Happy Birthday Message From The Caring Staff
Natalie Te Paa, a musician who moved across the planet to pursue her singing career, is blind. So, to congratulate her on her big move, the staff of a restaurant in London prepared a happy birthday wish in Braille! The workers of London's Luciano by Gino D'Acampo did it all themselves. As soon as they found out Te Paa would have her birthday at their restaurant, they found out how to write "Happy Birthday" in Braille. Then, they wrote it in chocolate!
Then, the crew and Claire Sara, the woman's friend and producer, watched as Te Paa received her amazing "Happy Birthday!" message. At first, she had no idea what was going on. When she first gets the plate, it's clear the young singer has no idea what's going on. Then she starts touching the plate, letting her fingers trace the dots. That's when Te Paa realized that the dots are not random after all - bringing a smile to the young woman's face!
"My mind was blank for a second and then I was like, 'Is this in Braille?'" Ta Paa told The Today Show afterward. "I've never had anything happen like that before. It was wild. They just really did go above and beyond." Now, the video has gone viral!
