Unfortunately, Taco Bell fans must say goodbye to one of the newest menu items. The fast-food brand has already discontinued the Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco. If it seems like the taco just arrived, that's because it had. It only debuted a few months ago! It's clear that the sandwich-taco-combo was not meant to depart the menu this fast. After all, Taco Bell did not warn fans at all that the taco would soon leave the menu.
As so often happens these days, online fans were the first to determine the loss of the item. "Did they discontinue the Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco?" Reddit user ThisIsJohn343 wondered last week. "I just tried to order (via the app) from every restaurant in my area and none of them have the Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco any longer. The only place I can see it mentions in the menu is in my favorites section. Are they discontinuing it already? Or is it possible there's just a shortage of some of the ingredients in all the restaurants within 10 miles of me?"
Soon enough, restaurant workers started to explain, clearing up the situation...
Look For Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco Elsewhere

Unfortunately for fans, Taco Bell workers confirmed they had nothing good to share. The Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco has left us, and will likely not come back any time soon. "We're selling them until we run out," CorinneJanita explained on Reddit. "Probably by mid next week they'll be gone, depending on the stock of other stores. Also, you can't order them on the mobile app anymore, only in person. And it's not advertised either."
After that, Taco Bell also confirmed the news themselves. While fans should not hold their breath, there's always a chance the taco-sandwich might come back. "The Crispy Chicken Sandwich Taco was a limited time menu offering," an official announcement read. "Innovation is core to Taco Bell and offering some menu items as limited time offers allows room on menus for even more new, craveable creations for fans. Like all great limited time menu items from Taco Bell, there's always a chance we can see it return to menus."
Still, Taco Bell hates disappointing fans. So, they recently unleashed a torrent of new items, including the Cantina Crispy Melt Taco. The Cantina Crispy Melt Taco contains a "white-corn shell, freshly fried daily, with a melted layer of three-cheese blend and nacho cheese sauce, and seasoned beef, reduced-fat sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes and real shredded cheddar cheese." Sounds great!
